The Conklin Raiders Elite became ASA Eastern National Champions this past weekend, with a 3-2 win, in 8 innings, over the Ohio Stingrays, in Stratford, Connecticut! They won the 34 team tournment, with an 8-0 record. The tournament had teams from 11 different states. Coach Wiggins had this to say: "This group of girls is special! They ended their season as champions, which few players get to do. We played many of the best teams in the nation this Summer from 18 different states. Our rigourous schedule taught the girls that competition is a good thing...battling is fun! It payed off this week! I also have to tip my cap to the Stingrays. We played then twice and BOTH games went extra innings. They are a great organization, with great players and coaches. Lastly, it was my pleasure to be able to coach such fine young ladies! I look forward to watching their careers progress!"
