About us
OUR VISION
The Career and Technical Education (CTE) Program offers high school students and adults the opportunity to learn job skills through instruction and hands-on experience. Students can use these skills to start a career right after high school or as preparation for college or the military. We offer 25 programs across three campuses for high school students who attend school in the 21 school districts in the Southern Tier of New York.
CTE diploma endorsement
GST BOCES is proud to offer the Career and Technical endorsement to all eligible CTE programs. This applies to all two-year programs with the exception of New Visions programs.
The New York State Department of Education's Career and Technical seal indicates that our programs have undergone a rigorous evaluation and approval process. Students who:

Successfully complete a CTE course of study at GST BOCES and earn a certificate, and
-
Have an employability profile, and
-
Pass the requisite CTE National Assessment, and
-
Satisfy all testing requirements for a Regents high school diploma, and
-
Complete a work-based learning experience
... will earn a technical seal that is affixed to their high school diploma. This seal signifies one of the highest levels of achievement a New York State secondary student may obtain.

GST BOCES is an innovative educational service organization driven by customer needs and a commitment to excellence, whose mission is to ensure that the success of our diverse learners, parents, community members, schools and businesses by providing collaboratively inspired, cost-effective, quality programs in an atmosphere that is safe and supportive. We follow the following principles:

in the GST BOCES Mission Statement that results in synergy by leveraging available resources
and cooperation.

• Service: the outcome of the development, facilitation and implementation of high quality
plans, strategies ad work in alignment with the GST BOCES Mission Statement and our
commitment to exceptional customer service.
